(t/n: the previous part only has the member introductions, and reminiscing of their first visit to the radio show. it's not included in the clip provided)
DJ: That has been a song from SHINee's "I'm Your Boy" album, Lucky Star. Let's continue our conversation from a while ago. You have released your "I'm Your Boy" album here in Japan last September, and you have reached number 1 in the Weekly Oricon ranking for the first time with it!
Onew: Thank you very much!
DJ: Reaching number one for the first time, where exactly did you hear the news about it?
Jonghyun: Somehow, we heard it while we were in Korea.
DJ: Oh, in Korea.
Key: That's right.
Jonghyun: We heard it from a lot of people.
DJ: How did you feel when you learned that you reached number 1?
Taemin: When we first heard it, we were really happy and thankful to everyone (who made it happen).
DJ: Hmm I see, of course you'd first feel very happy and accomplished, right? Now, this is already your third album. What kind of album is it?
Key: (It's been three years for us). From dance pop tunes to ballads, "I'm Your Boy" is an album that showcases a lot of SHINee's facets. It's like a colorful album...yeah, it's a colorful album!
Everyone: LOL
DJ: It's true though. It's like every song's existence is very strong like that. Yeah, we can really feel it. And somehow, there are a lot of positive, bright dance numbers (in it) it seems, as what SHINee is (known for). But for me, among the songs in the album I like the song "365" the most.
Jonghyun: I see!
DJ: Yes, I really love it very much.
Jonghyun: I love it, too.
DJ: Really?
Jonghyun: Yes.
DJ: In this song, when you sing it, what feelings...or rather what part of the song do you like? Jonghyun-san?
Jonghyun: This song has an acoustic feel, and I think it is the song that represents/reflects our hearts the most.
DJ: Oh I see. I really think that is. In your singles, SHINee's energetic image is really strong, but upon listening to the album, I think the five members' individual voices really shine well.
Onew: Thank you very much.
DJ: Speaking of expressiveness, in this album, did you pay attention to a certain way of singing or did you sing thinking, "I want people to hear this song this way"?
Key: Well, with 365, we five members have different vocal constitutions, and with that in mind we tried to reach out to the listener while recording.
DJ: Hmm, so every member has a different way of expressing themselves through singing, but when your voices come together, it's gives a really nice feeling.
Key: Thank you very much.
DJ: Well, that's about the song I like, but does everyone have a favorite part of the album? Like the song or lyrics? Minho-san?
Minho: I like "Picasso".
DJ: Why "Picasso"?
Taemin: Is it because of the lyrics...?
Minho: Because there's a powerful feeling coming from it.
DJ: So, you like the power it gives off when you both sing and dance it?
Minho: Yes.
DJ: Ahh that's good. He's really giving me a strong look (*) right now LOL. What about Onew-san?
t/n: this means Minho's trying to convey what he means by "powerful" with his eyes.
Onew: I like "Colors of the Season" the most.
DJ: A ballad!
Onew: Yes. It's a ballad song and it has a beautiful melody.
DJ: It really has a pretty melody. How about Key-san?
Key: As for me, I like performing Perfect 10 on stage. Whenever we sing it, the tension/excitement really rises.
DJ: Of course in live performances, you have even more different ways of expressing the song, right?
Key: In our live performance, the atmosphere really heats up from this song, so everyone's pumped up.
DJ: I see LOL. How about Taemin-san?
Taemin: I like Bounce the most. Since it makes everyone lively and it feels good. It's a song all of our members like.
DJ: Oh of course!
Everyone: LOOOL
--
DJ: What kind of music are you guys interested in? Like, aside from SHINee songs, what songs/artists do you usually like? Actually, we've asked you this question before when you went here for the first time, but let's see if your answers will still be the same or if they'll be different.
Jonghyun: Of course, since we listen to music a lot. As for me, I am into Musiq Soulchild again.
DJ: Oh, that's nice! An RnB artist.
Jonghyun: Yes. Among his songs, I like the duet ones the most.
Key: But we do listen to a variety of songs.
Jonghyun: That's true.
Minho: I listen to Pharrell Williams a lot recently.
DJ: Ohh! Like "Happy"? LOL Of course, it's a really big hit this year. Minho's favorite is Pharrell, what about the others?
Taemin: I listen to a lot of band songs these days. I like One Direction's Ha...Half A Hat...Heart, Half a Heart.
(t/n: the initial report i translated only said "heart", that's because taemin buckled a lot that it's like he's actually just trying to say "heart" instead of "half" lol. )
Onew: (makes a word pun)
(t/n: listening to the video, I cannot clearly hear what onew said, but everyone laughed at it. according to this tweet: , onew said ,"shampoo hat" in response to taemin's pronunciation of "heart". )
DJ: One Direction, right? They really release a lot of new songs, don't they? Anyway, Key-san?
Key: As for me, I really listen to a lot of songs. Recently, I just try listening to the new releases, like what are the most popular new pop songs. I really listen to various things.
DJ: Then, you listen to the top ranked songs, like in Top 40 or in some charts?
Key: Yes.
DJ: Eh, I see. Then Onew-san?
Onew: As for me, I went back (to the past) a bit.
DJ: How far did you go back?
Onew: I'm into Boyz II Men.
DJ: Ah, that's nice. Motown sound!
Onew: Yes.
---
DJ: You've reached more than half of your tour, how was it?
Key: We've done both hall tours and arena tours, and we've gone to places we haven't visited before.
Onew: That's right.
Key: Then we ate a lot of popular local goods. And then, what was it? Dia..dialects? We studied local dialects. It was interesting.
DJ: Do you have any memorable dialect you've learned or memorable food you've eaten?
Key/Onew: Suito yoo (Hakata dialect for "I love you")
Taemin: Nan shiyo ke? Nan sho ke?
Onew/Key: Nan shiyo tto! (Hakata dialect for "What are you doing?)
Taemin: LOL shiyo tto
DJ: You guys have already learned Hakata dialect so well! That's nice. What about delicious food you've eaten?
Taemin: I really want to eat mentaiko.
(t/n: mentaiko is marinated pollock and cod roe. it's a local fukuoka/hakata product)
DJ: Want to eat?
Taemin: I haven't eaten it yet.
Key: I think we're going to eat (Hakata) ramen tonight.
(t/n: hakata ramen is a tonkotsu ramen. it has a rich, milky broth made from pork bones. its noodles are thin and not curly. toppins usually include picked ginger, crushed garlic, and spicy greens.)
Taemin: Maybe.
DJ: You seem to really like Hakata cuisine, mentioning mentaiko and ramen. Anyway, today you will be doing your concert finally in Fukuoka. What kind of performance do you intend to do today?
Minho: In order for the Fukuoka fans to enjoy themselves we've prepared a lot so we hope they look forward to it. Please take care of us.
DJ: Since we're talking about Fukuoka, a while ago we mentioned the words you learned in Hakata dialect as well as food you'd eat, what about memorable places? Since way before you've been visiting Fukuoka a lot of times, right?
Onew: That's right.
Key: Then, this would be a really memorable place for us!
DJ: Eh, really?
Key: Since we had our first broadcast here. That time all of us were really nervous. That would probably be one of the most memorable things we experienced here.
DJ: Right? That time a lot of fans gathered to see you. It's a nice memory. Now, SHINee's going to hold a live performance here in Fukuoka, but sadly some people would probably be not able to go, right? Then, please give a message to these people in Hakata dialect, like the ones you've learned before.
Onew: Nan shiyo tto! (What are you doing?!)
Key: No, no, no, not that one LOL.
DJ: Ah that's not it, then the other one? In a loud voice, please.
SHINee: Sui too you! (I/We love you!)
Key: Let's meet again!
DJ: Thank you very much! Then, talking about lives, next year, you will also be holding a live performance in Tokyo Dome! Congratulations! Since before everyone's been wishing for a Tokyo Dome live. How did you feel when this time finally arrived?
Taemin: It feels like our wish has been finally granted?
Onew: Excited?
Jonghyun: We're all happy!
Key: I think we have mentioned it before, that we want to perform in Tokyo Dome.
DJ: Yes, you did say it!
Key: That's why when we announced it in Hiroshima, the fans and even the members all cried. We were really moved. We really want to do our best in Tokyo Dome.
DJ: Oh, not only the members but also the fans. Everyone must be really feeling happy as one. And now, it's time to say goodbye to SHINee. To the listeners of Love FM as well as to your fans, will you leave even just a tiny message?
Taemin: Fukoka...Fukuka...Uh...
Key: LOL
DJ: Do your best!
Taemin: This is really hard (to say)! Fukuo...Fukuuka...no m..
Everyone: LOL
DJ: He's in despair right now, he's in despair LOL
Taemin: Ah, it's been a while since we came here. We're really happy to have this chance to meet you (again). Let's meet again in the concert, everyone! And then, please come to the next concert, too. In Fuko..
DJ: Fukuoka...?
Taemin: Fukuoka, right? LOL
DJ: Yes, of course. Then next, Key-san?
Key: Yes. We're really happy to come to Fukuoka. Some people won't be able to make it to our concert this time but we'll surely meet in another concert! Please come and play with us at Tokyo Dome. Thank you!
DJ: Then, Jonghyun-san?
Jonghyun: We're really happy to come back here. We'll be doing our best in this live, too, so please come see us. Thank you.
DJ: Yes, Minho-san?
Minho: We're happy to come to Fukuoka, please cheer for us. Thank you very much.
DJ: And then, Onew-san?
Onew: Everyone. LOL. *My first impression and memories of this place is really wonderful. I really want to meet everyone again.
(t/n: He said the line after the asterisk in Korean. An interpreter provided the Japanese version.)
DJ: Thank you very much!
(t/n: the rest of the clip is jonghyun reading a script introducing downtown baby)
